Suggested food pairing for Showket Vineyards 2006 Sangiovese

Newman’s Own® Zilicious Ziti

• 1 lb. box of ziti, cooked
• 1 lb. cottage cheese
• 1 lb. mozzarella, diced
• 1 lb. lean ground beef
• 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
• 2 medium onions, diced
• Garlic powder, salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 jar Newman's Own Roasted Garlic Red & Green Peppers, Tomato & Roasted Garlic, Pesto & Tomato or Cabernet Pasta Sauce
• Grated parmesan cheese

1. Sauté beef until brown, set aside.

2. Sauté mushrooms and onions until limp and add to meat.

3. Mix in cheese and about 1 cup Newman's Own Pasta Sauce and seasonings.

4. Place cooked ziti in a buttered casserole, add meat and cheese mixture and cover with remaining sauce.

5. Bake covered at 350° for 1 hour.

6. Serve with grated parmesan.
